Background

I am a former lecturer in sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art. I took voluntary severance in 2008 to concentrate on my work as a professional artist.

Art

I have exhibited widely in Britain, Sweden and America, and I welcome photographic commissions of portraits of gardens.

Teaching

I organise and teach the following groups:

  • A local art group in Symington, called the Madainn group. I teach and organise exhibitions throughout Scotland for the group, which meets all day on a Thursday during term time.
  • Life drawing, painting and clay modelling events which run seasonally for a week four times a year in a local village.
  • An art group for teenagers who are interested in building a portfolio in preparation for applying to art college.
